NO COLLAGEN - Why we should only get body fillers for our body

Hyaluronic acid fillers are the best.

You think it's nice that your collagen is increasing?

Now, let me ask you this.

Hey folks!

Would you be happy or satisfied if you were to have a collagen booster injected into your hips or breasts?

I'd love to wrap up this article with this question, but...

Is there anyone at the ends of the Earth who'd be satisfied and happy after getting a collagen filler for body sculpting?

Allow me to elaborate.

The first crucial aspect I think about in body procedures!

Real Volume (effects)

Adverts for body volume enhancement procedures claim they "add collagen". To be precise, they're injecting a 'collagen booster' to stimulate your body's natural collagen.

You might know someone who's tried Sculptra, the frontrunner of collagen boosters. It's often sought by people who lack cheek volume and have saggy skin, hoping for more natural-looking plumpness and better skin elasticity.

However, if you lack cheek volume rather than elasticity, I'd recommend 'filler' as the main procedure over Sculptra.

Why? Simply because Sculptra is not suitable if your main aim is just to volumize.

To be clear! I'll say it again! Collagen boosters are not used with the sole aim of increasing volume.

Typically, we mix about 7-10cc of sterile water with one vial of collagen booster for the procedure. Let's say you've had it injected into your cheeks. Right after, your cheeks will feel super plump. But by the next day, the volume will reduce to a fraction of the original.

And a month later?

There might be some firmness, but practically no volume. If you can't even feel the volume on your small cheeks, imagine using this for a body procedure on your buttocks. After a month... no, even just a week later, do you think there'd be any of the original volume left? If there's any volume left in your buttocks, it would be from the filler, not the collagen booster that was mixed in.

In conclusion, when it comes to body procedures, collagen hardly contributes to volume creation! With collagen (or collagen boosters), it's hard to create volume! In other words, it's ineffective = a waste of money.

The second important element I consider in body procedures!

Do we need elasticity treatment to volumize the hips and buttocks?

Sure~~~ for the face, since the skin is relatively thin, even a slight increase in collagen can make the skin more supple and subtly contribute to volume through increased elasticity.

However, the skin on our bodies is quite thick.

Adding 3 to 10 makes a difference, but adding 3 to 1000 makes no real difference. Normally, skin loses elasticity not so much because of aging but because of weight gain and loss, or pregnancy and childbirth causing the skin to stretch.

Even if it's not collagen but its forefather, it'd be hard to regain firmness.

Moreover, volume creation naturally leads to firmness. It's like inflating a deflated balloon; it becomes firm. Thus, there's no need to add collagen for elasticity treatment.

The third crucial aspect I consider in body procedures!

Is collagen only produced by collagen boosters?

No!

Injecting hyaluronic acid filler also generates collagen.

Practitioners who use fillers probably know this. When hyaluronic acid filler is injected, collagen and elastin significantly increase around it, and collagen continues to be produced robustly even four months later.

This isn't some new insight; it's something we've known for a long time. Occasionally, you hear testimonies of the pores in the butterfly zone decreasing after getting hyaluronic acid filler in the forehead.

As such, collagen is produced even without injecting a separate collagen booster.

Therefore, when it comes to body fillers, I oppose collagen boosters.
