Side effects of hip dip fat transplants_Do they even last? (Hip-dip filler story)

Hello, this is Dr.Kim from Gowoonmom Clinic.

I'm personally not a huge fan of fat transplants.
I will never get the procedure done on my face or body.

Fillers were very expensive 10 years ago so fat transplants were popular because they were cost efficient.

But these days, high-quality fillers have become much cheaper.

There's no reason to get fat transplants.
I got it done 10 years ago but I don't these days at all.

"It's safer because it's my fat? It's hard to "control" it because it's your own fat"

Fat is a cell, so there are often times unexpected results due to various infection issues.

A common side effect of hip-dip fat transplants are
1) Hardening where fat turns very hard like bones
2) Infections with fat cells dying in the process of engraftment

But the above side effects aren't that common.
The biggest reason why I don't get fat transplants in the area is because it doesn't engraft well at all. Fat disappears in the matter of 2~3 months.

Fat transplants require fat to be engrafted into my own cell.
But well do they settle?

And do they settle well?

According to one of my employees who used to work at a hospital that did fat transplants on hip-dips, not even 1 out of 10 patients see their fat last for more than 6 months.

This mean it doesn't settle well and just disappears.

Let's assume you fell into the 10% bracket where it actually settles well.

"Hip-dip is an area that connects to the thigh, will it fall down smoothly?"

The patient nor the doctor can predict how it's going to turn out.

Why necessarily get such a procedure done?

Today I'm going to tell you a story of a person who received fat transplants on the hip-dip area from a different clinic.

Before receiving hip dip fillers

She came visited me because none of the fat remained. Another problem was that, fat settled well on particular part of her thigh only, so the overall shape of her hips were weird.

She decided to fill the hip-dip area with fillers and receive lip injections for her saddlebags.

She got her fat from her love handles, so the other part of her thighs weren't bumpy. Clients who come to me after a failed fat transplant surgery usually get their fat from the thighs, but oftentimes because they take out the fat unevenly, they have bumpy thighs which I also have to work on.

Let's check out her review.

"After I received fat transplants for my hip dips, not only did it all disappear within a year, and some of it went down to my saddlebag area, which made the hip dip stand out even more. I didn't have time to get another round of fat transplants and I didn't want to experience the side effects again so I received fillers after looking it up. I just wanted the hip dip area to be filled and decided on Gowoonmom Clinic after searching. They were injected while I was lying down and standing up, and the doctor kept talking to me and showed me the line during the procedure. It didn't even hurt. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. If you look at the line without the saddlebag, it turned out really smooth. The 3rd and 4th picture is the after pic! Don't get transplants! Get fillers"

This client told me she had to sleep on her front body for a month after receiving fat transplants. Probably because she had to make sure the fat settles in well. She said it hurt so much for a month and couldn't work out too. But after all that, all the fat disappeared in 3 months, so of course it's going to drive her crazy!

She was so shocked to hear that she doesn't have to worry about the way she sleeps and that she could work out starting from today!
