Side effect case Dr.Kim experienced_hip dip filler

Hello, this is your Dr.Kim from Gowoonmom Clinic.

Today, I'm going to share a case where one of my patients experienced side effects from hip fillers.

The topic of my post today will be

"Discussions on filler amounts"

The patient I want to introduce is someone who came to our clinic often.

She always get face treatments like skin Botox or Shrink procedures.

Last year, she decided to get lifting procedures done on her stomach and inner thigh area because she was taking body profile pics.

Gosh...

I was so shocked when I saw her body though...

Weird scars were all over the side of her hips..

Please take a look at the above picture.

We call it marvel type skin when such things happen, because the skin shows little circles on it!

"OO, what happened to this?"

So I asked my client how this all happened! Often, this can happen when someone gets burnt in low temperature (from heaters etc).

It turns out

She received hip fillers 3~4 years ago and got such scars as a side-effect. She said what I'm seeing right now is the improved version from how it was before.

Such cases DON'T happen because the filler itself created such reaction with the body.

Then how did this happen??

It's because "TOO MUCH was injected, up to a point where it created disturbance in the blood circulation of the tissue"

What happens when you put in too much fillers for a hip dip filler procedure.

I'll explain some things you can experience when you put in too much fillers for hip dips.

1) It swells a lot. The swelling doesn't go away.

2) You're in severe pain. The pain doesn't go away that much even after 48 hours.

3) The area becomes really red

Most of the points above can happen easily after a filler procedure, but the degree in which you experience this will be very severe if it's a side effect.

If you're not too sure what 'severe' is and you still feel uncomfortable after 48 hours, please go consult your clinic.

My client experienced what I mentioned above and went to the hospital where she received the procedure, but all they did was prescribe more antibiotics and medicine that will get help the swelling.

She received the procedure using non absorbable fillers, so she couldn't get them melted. The only way to make things better would've been easing the swelling to let the blood circulation happen, but I'm sure the swelling would've been really bad because she injected a lot of fillers.

That's how her blood circulation to the skin was disturbed.

If she received the procedure using hyaluronic acid, we could've injected Hyaluronidae, which is what's used to decompose fillers and reduce about 10% of the volume, and make sure the fillers don't disturb blood circulation. The issue could've been resolved in a couple of hours.

It's best though if such a thing never happened in the first place!

Of course if we inject 100~300cc of fillers at once, clients can get the big, round hip shape they want right away.

"One of the strengths of fillers is being able to get the procedure done multiple times. But is it really necessary to inject a lot at once?"

From my very own experience, you can get satisfying results with just around 30cc for hip dip fillers.

Let's go easy with hip dip fillers everyone.

There's no use in over doing it to have the PERFECT body.

You can get satisfying results with just 30cc of fillers.

So far, this was my own procedure diary in dealing with side-effects.

Thank you.
