Anatomical approach to head fillers_Before and after pics (feat. WHY IT'S SAFE!)
Hello, this is your Dr.Kim from Gowoonmom Clinic.
Some of the questions I get asked a lot when it comes to head fillers are
"Doesn't the filler go into the head area?"
"Wouldn't I lose hair after injecting fillers in the area?"
I think I'll answer some of the most frequently asked questions when it comes to head fillers.

Head fillers and body fillers are the type of procedures that I could sleep comfortably without having to worry about the client after carrying out the procedure.
I'll explain why
Let's have a look at the anatomical structure of the scalp
You can first see the hair, bone, and the overall structure of the brain.
Simply putting it, it's
'SKIN - VARIOUS STRUCTURES- and the BONE'.
Head fillers or bone cement surgery are done in this 'various structure' area.
Let's look into this more closely.
The place where the green dot is where the subcutaneous fat layer is, right underneath the skin area of the hair, and there's a very strong area underneath called the aponeurosis.
An aponeurosis is...
That white area that is surrounding the head.
(For your reference, head fillers are injected into where the aponeurosis is, not where the muscles are located)
So let's have another look into what the head is composed of.
Look where the red arrow is at.
It seems like an empty space right?
That's right. This is an area of loose connective tissues.
In other words, the whole area is lose.
And the upper and lower area of this tissue is stuck together very tightly.
That is why the bone cement used for plastic surgery or in this case, head fillers, are injected into this area.
(By the way, if you inject a stick into someone's head, it will go straight into this loose area).
(Also, another thing to note is that when you receive hair transplants, the incision will be made from the hair, subcutaneous fat layer, and the upper area of where the green dot is. Therefore, hair transplant procedures and head fillers don't intercept with one another).
After receiving head fillers, I also received a hair transplant surgery December last year. Of course the hospital that did the procedure doesn't know about the head fillers I got. I didn't feel it was necessary to tell them at all. I'll tell you more about hair transplant procedures another time.
Anyway, lastly, the area that I marked with a yellow dot is the periosteum.
It's the layer that surrounds the bone.
The head bone and periosteum is stuck tightly together, so you can think of them as one.

First.
You saw that the area where the filler (bone cement) goes into and the hair root is divided by a very strong layer called the aponeurasis.
Secondly.
All the vessels that supply nutrients to the hair root is located in the subcutaneous fat layer. Like above, the subcutaneous fat layer and the area where the head fillers (or the bone cement) goes into is completely divided.
To lay out all the possibilities, since there are hair restorer products that are developed based on the theory of stimulating hair roots, if blood isn't as well stimulated in the head skin area, maybe there can be a possibility where people lose hair after receiving head fillers (or bone cement surgery).
If swelling continues for 3~6 months or more and disrupts blood circulation in the head's skin area, yes this may possibly make you lose hair.
But head fillers can be done in phases, so that's why I always recommend getting them done in two separate sessions, rather than all at once.

With head shape surgeries, since you can only get them done once, they put in as many bone cement they can into your head area. This will lead to more swelling.
But even for head surgeries that left a month-long swelling, not a single care reported losing hair.
In the loose layer we just saw, there are no meaningful vessels nor nerves. Maybe God created it for convenient head fillers...
No pain, no blood head fillers!
Let go of your worries about losing hair after receiving the procedure!
So far, this was your Dr.Kim.
